WE Believe

in God the Father Almighty
       maker of heaven and earth
in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
       born of the Virgin Mary
       suffered under Pontius Pilate
       was crucified, dead and buried
the third day he rose from the dead
       he ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead
In the Holy Spirit
       the holy catholic church
       the communion of saints
       the forgiveness of sins
       the resurrection of the body
       and the life everlasting

Being that Netzer is a movement and a prayer toward our singular identity in Christ as One Church, the aim is not to highlight our theological differences. The rich nuances and apparent tensions between theological perspectives within the Church help stretch us to each explore the Scriptures again and to experience Christ in new ways.

Our goal is not to emphasize those tensions, but first to grow in embracing our shared faith in our Father, Savior and Guide. The Apostles Creed is by no means an exhaustive statement of the faith and doctrines of those connected to Netzer. It is simply an entry point into the discussion and community. The following are also shared theological threads that serve as foundations for the community:

The Triune God, The Authoritative Word, The Atoning Death, The Life-Giving Resurrection, The Global Church, The Great Commandment, The Great Commission, The Power of Prayer, Spiritual Transformation.
